Hey =]

hey!
i joined the forum about a week ago but i only just realised theres a new member intro part
my names fiona im a 19 year old female from melbourne, australia.
Im studying exercise and sport science at uni, planning on going onto secondary pe teaching.
I have always been fairly active and have played tennis for hmm about 10 years.
i really enjoy recreational cycling, did a 7 day 800 km cycle tour with my school 3 years ago but havent been riding for a while now.
I really want to improve my fitness and my ultimate goal would be to run 5km as running is something that i have never been able to bring myself to do.
Also would like to lose a couple of kilos, most of which will hopefully come off the legs hah
I go to the gym at least 4 times a week, sometimes more depending on uni, social and work commitments.
I try not to eat too much junk but im not always the best at doing that.

so far have found all advice to be very useful and look foward to reading more from you guys =]
 
ive reached my 5km goal :D
i started off with 3km then within a week a worked up to 10km, definately suprised myself with that!
only running on treadmill atm though so just working up to outdoors when its a bit warmer
