One of the key things that people also get from a forum such is this is support from others trying to do something similar. You really want to build a support network.
I think that clubs and challenges are a great way of meeting lots of new people... I really suggest that you check out both those sections too. I know that San is getting ready to kick off a new challenge over the next couple of weeks.
