Hey all! I just signed up in hopes of finding some motivation (and I can help motivate others too!).. I'm 25 and not wildly overweight, but need to lose some weight. I'm 5'4 and 160 pounds. I'm getting married in June (so just over 9 months from now).
Growing up I was always the "tiny one" and somewhere in college I gained a few pounds here or there and went from 110 to 160. Now I do NOT want to be 110 again, I didn't have hips or a body then, but I would like to be thinner.
I'll go through periods of eating healthy and walking and biking, but then I'll slip up and feel like I'm not seeing any results. I know it takes time, but when you're wanting to lose weight, it's hard to be patient!
I don't drink any coffee, soda or juice, only sugar free lemonade and water (this is normal for me, so I'm not giving anything up). I've gone to the grocery and bought a lot of fruits and veggies, nuts, chicken. I just bought an elliptical, shake weight, and workout band. I just can't seem to find the motivation to actually use them!
Does anyone have any tips or advice or motivation to help me start and continue? Thank you!!!!!

Hello!

I am in the same boat as you. I am the same height and was at the same weight when i started. I am down 10 lbs just about. AND i am also getting married next year. Thats one day I dont want to be this weight lol.
My biggest thing is eating less and moving more. I find that my appetite has changed. I no longer feel as if I am cutting things out, just making better choices. I also started to write everything down, every table spoon, every bite. Now I dont have to as much. I kind of have it in my head now.
So when I want something sweet, Ill have fruit, or when that chocolate craving comes, ill have a little bit of dark chocolate, but i add in fruit so i am more full. I starting taking the stairs more, i bought a hula hoop and I have a bosu ball...both i use while i watch tv. (most of the time :)) and little day to day things that do make a difference.
Good luck!!!
