Hey, my names Michael, and I'm 20. I've been overweight for virtually my whole life. I've been meaning to join a weight loss forum for a while now, but I haven't gotten around to it. I've actually been loosing weight since November, and I've gone from 275 to 205, I plan to get to 165-175.

Hey Michael, it looks like great progress. Tell us some more about what your typical food plan per day is and what type of fitness activities you are involved with. What do you do for fun and work?

Oh, I just noticed this. Anyway, I don't have a very exact number of calories I try to eat a day, but I think it would come out to about 1200-1500. What exactly I eat changes from day to day, health wise its consistent. So I'll just say what I had today. For breakfast I fixed a packet of oatmeal and a hard boiled egg, plus a cup of coffee, with a serving of coffee mate (much less than what I used to put in). I don't eat a snack mid morning. Then for lunch I had a serving of healthy soup. Then after I exercised (about 3) I had a yogurt. And at around 5 I had some carrots. Then for dinner I had a serving of salmon and a serving of whole grain pasta. Oh, and I do drink a cup of skim milk with my meals.

On ever day but Friday I'll use a treadmill. For 45 minutes I'll fast walk, then for 25 minutes I'll jog, then for 5 minutes I'll walk. I then do about 100 standard crunches, and 100 of another type of crunch, where you bring your elbows and knees together. Then (except on Monday and Thursday) I'll lift weights using the exercises in the five factor fitness book. For most of the exercises I'm doing 40 reps, 3 times, with 20 pound weights.

For fun I hang out with friends and I work part time in a library. I'm also in college.

Hey thanks Michael. When you first decided to lose weight what was the very first action that you knew that you had take.

Hey thanks Michael. When you first decided to lose weight what was the very first action that you knew that you had take.

I think my diet contributed more to my weight than my lack of exercise, so changing my diet was one of the most important things in my opinion. I had tried loosing weight many times before, but that would only last a few weeks because I didn't see results, and the reason I didn't see results was because I was still eating mass food. This time though I looked at things realistically, and I decided to change my diet as well as exercising. And I've lost 76 pounds. Whenever I tried to loose weight before I don't think I even lost 5.
