I am 13 and I am turning 14 in april.

I finaly take action to get this fat off me.. I weight about 230lb's and I used to play football but im 6' tall so you really cant tell I weight that much. Right now I go to the Gym for 2 hours EVERY night. I do about 30 to 40 minutes of cardio and then I hit the weights for the majority of the time im there. Right now I bench about 70-80 not much cause im just starting out. My mom is telling me that I can eat anything I want just watch the quanity, So I have been eating light. The thing that bothers me most is chest fat or manboobs they call it lol, I want to get rid of it so bad so Im doing this machine where u push and the seat is slanted and it supposedly works my chest.

I'll add more later. Please tell me what I should do. I want to lose alot of weight by April 24th so I can look good for the DC Field Trip :p.

Thanks

Half the battle is your diet. You can eat anything you want, in moderation. Portion control. Cut out fast foods and soda. Drink a lot of water, especially when you're working out for two hours a day.

I'm assuming your high school has a weight room. Perhaps you could ask the Phys Ed teacher to teach you some basic moves for each muscle group to get you started; although I know if someone asked my old Phys Ed teacher that, he would've came up with a whole plan of diet and exercise and seperate it by days so it was easy to follow. Or ask some of the athletes that are already working out in the weight room...there has to be someone who would be happy to help.

Instead of running on a treadmill alone at the gym, try running with the track team after school. I know a lot of people at my high school did this.

Just a few suggestions. I'm sure you can learn a lot more by reading through the sticky notes at the top of the threads.

Good luck!
