Hi, im Amie. I have joined the forum as i have lost 3.5 stone and then managed to put it all back on again. One of the main reasons why it happened is because i met my boyfriend and became happy again, so out for meals and takeaways it was. So I am going to try and do it again, starting Wednesday (get all the crimbo choc out the way of temptation.) I have got an insentive as well to help me, my boyfriend and I want to go to London for next new year but both unemployed college leavers we have no money, so for every pound i loose we both put a pound (£) away and for every stone i loose we both put £10 away. I know that i have to loose weight for myself else it wont work but that just sweetens the deal! :cheers2:
I just hope i can do it again, im feeling really big again and i worked so hard before to just give up.

Don't do this solely for happiness.

When you do this, it's too easy to replace the mechanism which establishes said happiness.... in this case the new boyfriend replaced the weight loss.

Create a more complex structure to your thoughts; think about health, image, energy, etc. Build a mental image in your mind of what you want and think about it. Write affirmations and read them every single day. Make lists of daily goals you want to complete and other lists about why you want what you want.

These are the kinds of things that are going to create longevity and consistency.

You could start a diary, that will help you to keep track of your excersize and eating habits :)
