Am going to be 25 next month and am weighing in at about 235lbs. and am 5'8". I've always wanted to loss weight but never committed to it. I quit smoking :sifone: January this year :hurray:. Now I figured since I could do that I can loss weight. My weight for my hight should be 175. My goal is to be around 200 lbs. or lower by January 1st 2011. Am using portion control as my diet plan, just mainly eat better and less. For working out am going to use weight lifting and calisthenics for toning and increase strength, and cardio for fat burning and increase stamina. I guess my main reason for joining is to find support to stay motivated and help others stay motivated. Also I live in Pensacola Fl. if any one wants to meet up to work out.
 
Welcome, Drifter! And a BIG congratulations on quitting smoking! You definitely can lose weight if you have the willpower to quit smoking. Anyway, welcome, and good luck!
