this seems like a nice place. i'm having trouble finding the motivation to lose weight, and need all the support i can get. i'm just starting, any tips or encouragement would be great! i really want to lose the weight this time.
Hi there; welcome to the forumn you will find lots of support arnd here. I like this forumn because I get to be amongst people with a common goal.
To keep yourself motivated I would suggest looking around in the forumn and joining one of the challenges there are a couple around; I am doing the wt loss for summer challenge (just started); the big money challenge (almost ending) and find that this is a great way to keep focussed and motivated.
Also start your diary in the weight loss diary section that will help you express yourself and keep track of your efforts.
And of course the golden rules excercise; eat right - fruits; veggies; lean proteins drink lots of water.

There are a lot of diets you can go to the Weight loss programs section and check out the one that works for you; the most effective way is to eat right; cut down on processed foods and foods with high sodium content; stick to 1200 calories a day and increase your lean protein intake; stick to chicken; turkey; fish like tilapia; salmon etc and of course veggies and fruits.
Drinking lot of water is a must as water flushes fat out of your system and of course excercise. I personally follow the 6 Week Body Make over diet by Micheal Thurmond; I find I get good results out of it; but everyone has their own secret that works for them; you can see what works for you.
Identifying that there is a problem is like winning half the battle. You have already done that so there is only half a battle to be won not the bad isnt it..so go for it
