Hi everyone
Just signed up and thought I better say hello. I'm from New Zealand (that tiny little fart sized country near Australia), I'm 28 (soon to be 29, argh!), I'm a mum to a 2 year old little girl and a stepmum to my SD15 and my SS9. I spend my spare time reading, watching way too much tv, exercising, painting, singing, and sleeping as much as I possibly can!
This time last year I weighed 100kgs / 220lbs. I stand at only 161cms tall so as you can imagine I was pretty hefty! So one day I decided to kick my own butt and I bought a stationary bike and invested in some good healthy food and within 6 months I had managed to lose 40kgs / 88lbs. I now weigh 60kgs / 132lbs and I've dropped from a dress size 22 to a dress size 10/12 (NZ sizes are a bit odd, our size 10 is the same as a US size 6). I did this by exercising for 40 minutes everyday doing cardio as well as weight training, and I completely changed my diet. I stopped eating chocolate, chips, fatty junk food etc and began eating fruit, vegies, wholegrains, lots of protein, low fat instead of full fat, etc. I'm very proud of myself because it was such hard work and I intend to KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF!!!
Anyway, that's my story. You can wake up now haha.
