I want to lose 20 lbs by the end of may (i started my diet in beginning of april, by the way) and i don't want to starve myself because i'm afraid to get loose skin. i'm scared to over eat or under eat. this is what my diet is: 5 days a week i diet and two days i don't (i don't exercise and i eat out or something but i don't go crazy on the unhealthy foods, lol) btw, i'm 21 years old; 5'2" and weigh 150 lbs

breakfast - scrambled egg whites (made in half a tablespoon of olive oil), one slice of whole grain bread, two slices of turkey bacon and a glass of orange juice. OR INSTEAD i'll have a cup of special K cereal with one cup skim milk and banana.

walk to school (30-40 minute walk)
exercise at the gym after class for 1 hr 30 min. (approximately 400 calories)
walk home (30-40 minute walk)
lunch - (sometimes i skip this because i'm usually in school :|) but if i do eat lunch, i usually eat a turkey sandwich with just honey roasted turkey breast in whole grain bread. maybe ill have a cup of fruits.

dinner - whole wheat pasta with extra lean turkey meatballs made in half a tablespoon of olive oil, tomato sauce and some Parmesan cheese and mushrooms OR INSTEAD i'll have 1/4 cup whole grain rice with extra lean turkey meatballs (made the same way) with mushrooms and spinach.

walk for 30 minutes after dinner to digest the food (sometimes)

am i eating too little? too much? am i not burning enough calories? i have a big belly bulge too and i want to get rid of it D:. pleasee help!

at the gym, i do cardio only and some weight lifting. but i do like eliptical for 40 minutes and bike thing for 30 minutes and then treadmill for 20 minutes or something like that.
what carbs should i cut down on in dinner? i usually just eat whole wheat pasta with lean turkey meatballs and veggies :| i'm confused.

Hi bumblebunnix.

First of all....good luck on your weight loss.

You sound to be doing everything right pretty much....but I dont think losing 20 lbs by the end of may is a healthy start.

Your breakfast sounds good. I dont know the nutrition of the turkey bacon, but for a couple of slices, Im sure its not putting your day out of whack.
The orange juice might be high in carbs...so i would I would cut back on it and have water instead or lf milk. Take a vitamin if you think it might benefit you.

I wouldnt skip any meal...especially lunch. And snack if you can in between. An apple or cottage cheese, or protein serving might be beneficial like tuna.

Honey glazed turkey...yummy. 70 cals per 2 oz and lots of protein. good grab.
Drop the cup of fruits and have a kiwi or some blueberries. The processed cup of fruits sound high in sugar or fructose and have a quite a few carbs in em.

Your dinner sounds perfect...as long as you watch your portions.

I would even have a protein snack before bed...but thats just me.
And water really helps...you dont mention it as part of your day but I would say it could play a big part in your weight loss.

I think your diet is too high in carbs but thats my opinion and I am new to this. I have a more relaxed diet as I only expect to lose 2-3 pounds a month.
Again, theres three weeks left in May...20 lbs in three weeks is not healthy.

I really hope you do succeed at losing weight...just be careful you dont try too hard.

Take care

When I was a kid, I used to ask my dad for 5 bucks. He would always say "no we can't afford it"
So then I would ask my mom, and she would sneak me 5 bucks without him knowing.

Happy Mothers Day Mom.

Sorry to hijack but I thought it was fitting lol.
Sometimes we only want to listen to what we want to hear. It doesnt matter if its right or wrong.

hiya, i would try cutting out the bread or just stick to having it in only one meal, i was losing weight well at first until i got to my last stone to lose when it all slowed down all of a sudden, i thought i would try something different and cut down on carbs/starchy foods and only had bread maybe once a week other than that i found alternatives to have instead of bread, the weight loss was brill and i felt lighter with a less bloated stomach! anywayz good luck and good on ya for all that exercise coz it sounds like your doin a great job!
