Hey, new here, need some advice.

Hey, I was wanting to try to get in shape over the summer, do some toning up. I am 21 year old male, I weight about 170 now. And I am looking for a good workout/dieting program.
A friend told me about Brad Pitt's Fight Club workout and said it was pretty good and use the diet that goes along with it. I was wandering if this would be a good one or if someone can point me to one?
