My name is James. I'm 26 years old, and I'm extremely desperate to lose weight right now. I wasn't fat when I was younger, it all started during high school. There was a McDonald's accross the street from my school, and I'd go there all the time to get something to eat. Then, after high school, a lot changed in my life. I actually got kicked out about a month before graduation, so I was forced to get my GED. Then I started working for my dad, which I hated. Then, while I was working for my dad, 9/11 happened, and I started getting depressed. So, obviously, I started eating. I went back to school to take a computer class, which I hated, and it took me a really long time to find a job. I found a job at Home Depot, which I also hated, I was a lot associate. They're the people outside the store who get the shopping carts. I really wanted to work inside, but they wouldn't let me, because I stutter when I talk. That's another thing that kinda caused stress in my life. Anyway, when I was working at Home Depot, I got my own apartment next door to my Grandma. Three months after I moved in, I got fired, so I had to use my disability money to pay my rent, I get a disability check cause I stutter and it's hard for me to find work, and two months after that, my Grandma died. So, obviously, I had more stress. Right now, I'm living with my brother, which I think I'm much better off now, but since I'm not working, I get bored a lot, so I eat a lot. Last time I went to the doctor's, I was over 300 lbs. Diabetis runs in my family, and I really want to lose weight. I really need some help. I need advice and support and all that. I wanted to start a diet in the begining of the summer, but my brother keeps having Barbeque's. How am I supposed to lose weight if everyone around me is eating burgers and hot dogs and steaks and drinking? So, I just really need help.
