hey, help with weight loss

Hey everybody,

I am a 20 year old male and i weigh roughly around 115kg-120kg. I would like to lose some weight preferrebly around 15kg at first. I know that exercise and eating healthy is what needs to be done but i need help with motivation and just need more knwoledge in the area bascially.

To start off: What sorts of foods should i be eating? I am over-weight but i honestly dont pig out 24/7, the problem i have is that when i do eat the food is un-healthy. Should i be eating more fruits? vegetables? And how much calories should i be taking in? If possible could someone give me a rough example or table of what i should eat during the week.

Exercise: I actually dont mind physical acitivity...ive played sports during most of my younger days and still dont mind having a run around. These are the things that i have at my disposal to help with exercise:

Pool
Free weights- i have dumbells of upto 35KG
punching bag and focus mitts
there is a soccer field close by
footballs and other sporting equipment.

As you can see there is prolly no reason why i should be over-weight with the above...but it comes down to lazy-ness i guess but i am now willing to work hard. With the list above could you give me a rough table or a basic ideas on what i should be doing weekly?

any other information that you can offer would also be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hey kingy welcome to the forum. If you move this to the diary section I think a lot more people will see it. There are some great people here and they are always willing to give advice. If your diet is going to be calorie based here is the site I use.

There are several on the net I just like this one. It has the big restaurant chains and also under tools you can pull up how many calories you should be taking in during the day to keep your weight. Of coarse you don't want to stay the same weight so this way you know what to keep it under. About the exercise I don't have much advice. some people need tons on exercise and then there are people like me that are so large just cutting the calories does the job. I just lift a lot of light weights more for the cardio aspects of it.
good luck to you........... lee
