Hey, I'm Amanda.

A small introduction about myself. I'm 15 years old and weight 142lbs. I joined the WLF because I'm tired of being overweight and want to change my eating habits and lifestyle before it's too late.

Welcome to the forum.

The two most important things for you to control your weight are to be active (which can mean doing sports and gym exercises or can mean things like dancing and walking) and eat healthily.

When I say eat healthily - I mean things like making sure that you eat enough fruit and veg and make sure that you get sufficient protein, calcium, fibre, healthy fats and also that you drink enough water.

There is lots of information in the nutrition section about all that. It can be a very good idea to log your food in (which costs nothing) and that way you can analyse the nutrients in your diet. You can also monitor your calories there. A good rule of thumb for calories to lose weight is to aim for
12 multiplied by your weight in pounds. For you that would be
142 * 12 = 1704 - but that reduces as you lose weight.

Good luck with your project.

PS - I live near London too.
