Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Ricky. I'm 340 lbs, 5'7''. 25 years old.

I've been obese since I was 13-14 years old.

I used to not care how big I was. But as I get older and older, the longer I'm not even glanced at by females the more I want to change and lose weight and gain muscle.

I'm tired of being the friendly, lovable fat guy. I want to be the healthy lovable fit guy.

I've quite smoking. Gave up drinking soda-pop, and want to start exercising and eating better. I've read that I need to eat lean meats and vegetables.

What sort of exercising should I do? I don't just want to be a skinny version of myself, so I want to save the muscle I have and possibly get stronger.

Should I be doing isolation exercises for different muscles or like compound exercises that work a multitude of muscles at one time?

I would suggest that you do a mix of cardio and weights for maximum weight loss.
