Hey Everyone

Hey guys/girls.
23 Male from Manhattan Beach, CA.

Well to summarize my situation, I've been gaining and losing 5-10 pounds all my life. Never been perfectly fit (what is perfectly fit anyway?) but sure as hell determined to be so at some point (really low body fat and all that good stuff.)

I'm 5'7 and 170lbs. Just little overweight i guess. But because i eat lots of junk and have a habit of not eating all day and eating a big meal at noon/afternoon, i have lots of fat stored. My main problem is my lifestyle. I spend crazy amount of time just sitting around. Can't really change that but i guess the key is to go to the gym when im not sitting around and make up for it.

I basically registered to get some info on what food to choose (gotta learn to cook too :( ) and learn how to layout a schedule of sit around-cardio-weightlifting-eat in a day. Like, when to eat and when to run and stuff. I assume that makes a big difference.

Hi, I`m new here also and am basically the same weight and height as you are now, although this is the leanest I`ve been in 7 years after losing 70 lbs in the last year. I`ve still got some way to go before I reach my ideal weight and feel totally happy with my body but I`m getting there and so will you. The people here seem helpful and knowledgable so i`m sure we will both find the help we need, good luck

Hey there Rich! Cool that we're same height weight! Mind checking my current pics? Here. I'm guessing I have crazy amount of fat % for my height weight.

yeah, checked em out. There is alot of advice on this site on how to lose the fat so I wouldnt worry. I personally think most of my excess weight is coming from muscle now as I`ve been doing weight training for over 8 months but still have a layer of fat around my belly that I have to shift somehow. What weight do you want to get down to or what bf% ??
 
Weight really isn't an issue with me but i'd rather be more towards lean than built. Like a small waist but somewhat wide shoulders (compared to waist) would be nice. Don't need huge muscle or strength. I really don't know what bf% i want. I would love to see my abs in 1 year though :eek:
