Hello there! I'm Tasha. I'm only 20 years old but I desperately need to do something about my weight before it becomes a permanent and future issue. I'm on a program, and that goes fine for me, I suppose. I've lost about 15 pounds, but it's taken me a few months to do just that. I think half of my problem is I don't have the support I need. I've got skinny friends and I've got other large friends. The skinny ones couldn't care either way, and the larger friends are happy being large, so it's hard to find someone to work with me. I stumbled upon this forum after hearing something on TV about people who start weight loss blogs and join forums, so here I am. :)

Another part of my issue is that I'm an artist-in-training sort of (I'd actually like to become an animator). All I do is sit all day and draw. And I love it. However, love it as I may, I'm having issues with improving because my mind is always on my weight and not on what I'm drawing. I'm also going back to school this summer, and I have heard of the monster known as "The Freshman 15". This worries me a little as I'm already a bit overweight (At 252, now) and just struggled to lose my first 15 pounds for months.

I look forward to getting to know you all and finally having someone to be on my journey with.
 
Hey, I'm a Tasha too :D. Good luck with your goals and congrats on losing 15lbs already! Weight loss forums really do help.
 
Hello! Welcome to the board. There is a lot of support and information here, I'm sure you'll be able to find something you can use.
 
hello... haha i know what your talking about when you talk about the skinny and big friends... i want to be a curvy medium! ... but i dont like showing my lack of confidence to my friends... lol

what have you been doing to lose the weight?!?
