Since i've joined up here i thought i may aswell introduce myself.

I'm in my late teens and have been overweight since i was about 6-7 years of age.

For the last 3 or so years i have been very determined to lose weight but due to a number of issues which i won't go into i have been unable to maintain any long-term weight loss plan.

I'm hoping this forum will help me in achieving the goals i really want to reach.

Just wanted to say hi and welcome to the forum. This is a great place to come if you want advice and help staying on track. One of the best suggestions I can give you is to find a buddy on here that you can talk to about problems your having with diet and tips to keep motivated. I've had a rough last couple of days but I've come on here and felt better.

I know where you are comming from
I was and is still in the same boat
it finaly got to the point i got determined i dont think of it as a diet because it seems i restrict my self so i watch my portions and also drinks lots of water and gaave up most of my soft drinks i still have one a day but a 12 oz and most days i do not drink it all or i subsitute with juice instead
i have included excercise as well so far i have lost 37 lbs still working on it
also join a local support group i go to TOPS(take off pound sensibly) that helps alot get som e of ypour friends to join you in your journey through weight loss buddy system is always good and of course you have us here rooting for you if you need us just ask
 
Hi there & welcome! Since you are in your teens, do be very cautious not to do fad diets. Make sure you are getting ENOUGH calories since you are still growing. I wish you the best! Be healthy!
