heres one for ya..

ok, I understand the concept of eating six meals a day. on the other hand i hear that you should consume no more than 30gs of protien per meal because the rest apparently turns to fat. Surely this would depend on your basic metabloic rate what gets turned to fat? if this informatin is correct then in order for a 300lb bodybuilder to gain mass he would have to eat 10 meals a day.. space that every 2-3 hours he would have to be eating nearly 24hrs a day? i'm confused here

first, that "30 gram rule" is a myth. too many factors involved to come up with a generic number. will brink once offered a reward to anyone who could prove that myth true and no one could.

but 20 to 40 grams is usually sufficient for most ppl. its not like "if 30 is good, 60 is better" though

second, with those bodybuilders and their genetics and their drugs, they can get by with crappy training routines and nutritional habits that make you scratch your head. :)

Protein isn't absorbed in an instant, especially casein.. Without kidney problems your body could easily handle upwards of 40+ grams of protein in a meal. In other words, don't worry about it.

I take in 50g per meal without any problems at all. It really depends on how hard you train, what your goals are etc....

I know professional bodybuilders that take in 75-100g per meal with no problems. Alot of the excess protein is excreted through urine.

Partially but keep in mind that excess of any nutrient can be converted into stored fat.
