Here's my start

So I have been posting a bit already and got some really good info from here. I figured that since I plan on sticking around I might as well come and intro myself and lay it on out there.

I'm Steve (If you didn't already guess that). I live in The CA northern bay area and am 25years old. Currently I'm 254lbs and about 5'11"-6'. I have always been a bigger guy and never had good eating habbits but I have always been active for the most part. Grew up playing football and doing martial arts, a couple years after high school I got in a bad motorcycle accident that had me pretty messed up for a few months and all I did was sit around and eat and watch tv. After that it was just all down hill untill about 6months ago when I hit a all time heaviest of 285lbs. after seeing my doctor and him basically telling me I was on the fast track to being diabetic and overall just extremely out of shape and over weight I started eating better and lost about 25-30lbs without doing much other then eating well.

I have been a fairly moody person my whole life, but never considered myself depressed or anything like that. Then recently I had a nutritionist suggest I try taking a small amount of tryptophan as it was said to help aid moods, sleep and cravings/portion control. I started taking 50mg of 5-htp about three to four weeks ago and I can honestly say I have never felt better, been happier, or slept better in my entire life. On top of that, I have actually been really enjoying and looking forward to doing cardio. Something that I have always hated with the most passion I could exress.

I started off really putting effort into training only about a month ago now. I would walk my dogs in the morning and attempt to jog a bit. After jogging for about 50yards though I was completely gassed and had to walk again. Well this morning I'm happy to say that I completed two miles straight through without stopping. Not at a blistering pace but for sure a heck of a lot better.

Thanks to the info here I am now on a better routine with added weight training, and a better diet. Best of all, I'm having a lot of fun rebuilding myself into the person I know I can be. I work a desk job and for the most part play online all day, so I plan on using this site for as much info as possible from here on out.

There is no doubt you can build yourself into the person you want. Nothing that is humanly possible (within diet and fitness) is impossible for you. Do not forget it.

Peace and much success on your fitness journey.
