Here we go again!!!

Well, I was here before, did alright, but I fell off the bandwagon and here I am back to this forum a couple years later!

After doing well a couple years ago, I had lost about 30lbs. Now my family has grown by two more kids, and its going to be much more difficult to find time to exercise (3 kids 4 and under to take care of here - my littlest is now 2months), or eat as consciously as I tend to stuff things in when I have a hand free. But I'm so disgusted by what I see in the mirror that I'm motivated to work at it, even if it's slow going!

So, here I go again!

Tip

Hi,

Welcome back.

I have been in your shoes, up and down and back up again.

In the end I used protein shakes to control my calorie intake, but making sure I had normal meals to and a treat once a week.

Big tip, stay hydrated with "water". I know it can be hard if you are addicted to coffee like me, but water does wonders.

Thanks for the support and welcome Aaron. And I think I might incorporate some protien shakes into my day to keep the calories down. I really don't have much time to exercise so keeping the calories low is my biggest chance at success here.

So, it's been a week since I last had time to post here, and I've lost a pound this week. Not a lot, but I'm happy with it. I also saw the doc today to find out the results on my cholestorol check. Not terrible, but not ideal. The doctor felt that weight loss alone would suffice for keeping the cholestorol under control.

I stopped breastfeeding 2 days ago, so the change in food requirements might set me back this week. Hopefully I just won't be as hungry!

Weight Loss

Hi,

I had high cholesterol when I first started my weight loss program. The Doctor said the same thing to me, lose a little weight and your "bad" cholesterol should go down and it has...

Apparently there's both good and bad cholesterol.
