hi people.
i'm david and i'm fat!
i use to weigh 340... over 2 years i got down to 225.
then i became content in my relationship.. eating more and going to the gym less and less. till eventually i just didn't enjoy going anymore.

well i went and had a physical last monday. i was horrified to learn my blood pressure was 169/96. i hadn't eatin in over 16 hours and still had 106 blood sugar.

i'm overweight, obviously! i'm bouncing around the low 290's.

so the main reason i'm here, is to meet people who enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle. most importantly to do my best to extend my time on this earth and be healthy for my family

Woah buddy ol' pal... Seriously need to do something about that blood pressure. Were you put on meds?! Scary high.

Let's get active and healthy! :D Looking forward to hearing about your success in the future.

Welcome! Your weight and story sound alot like mine. Except I havent seen 225 in years. I am currently at 290. What's your height and age? I look foward to tracking your progress to help keep me motivated.

I agree with you Michelley85. my number 1 goal right now is to fix the blood pressure. i'm actually going to try and do it naturally for awhile. i'm checking my blood pressure at the start and end of every week. if for some reason it gets worse i'm going to get on blood pressure meds!!

my height is 6'0" and my weight as of this morning is 288.
i bought some diet pills at GNC over the weekend. they are Xenadrine RFA-1.
i haven't started taking them yet, but i plan on starting a cycle at the start of next week!!

Dude, trust me when I say RETURN THE XENADRINE, especially with your high blood pressure. it's not healthy, safe, or smart.

Just focus on living a healthier lifestyle. You will see the benefits without fear of the long term effects of these pills. By the way, they don't have long term studies done on any of these pills or miracle cures.

yeah that is one of the big reasons i haven't taken them yet. i'm worried about their effect on my blood pressure.
from the research i did, i found that only "Alli" if that is how you spell it, is the only of the OTC weightloss drugs that is FDA approved

You really do not need any weight loss pill... just paying attention and being consistent will get you the results you want..

Head to the nutrition forum below and read those stickied threads...

and return the pills...

Still, you don't need weight loss pills. They are nothing more than a gratified placebo pill. They always recommend diet and exercise on top of the pills.

If you like, I can private message you my workout. I am currently leading my gym's 12 week challenge. It's tough, and you can modify it to fit your daily schedule, but it'll be tons better and healthier than any miracle cure.

Honestly, dude, I really don't want to see you...or anyone get seriously hurt over them. each pill has something like 100 cups of coffee worth of caffeine.

When I first visited my doctor 2 years ago, he put me on an drug called phentermine-supposedly it was the good part of the whole fenfen weight loss drug craze. I was on that stuff for about 2 weeks and I thought my heart was going to explode, I could actually feel my heart racing at all times. The doctor took me off of it and after that i refused anymore drugs. I currently only take multivitamins and fish oil. JUST SAY NO TO WEIGHT LOSS DRUGS!!
That is just my 2 cents.

That's what I take. Triple Omega (Flax, Fish and Borage oils) and a Centrum daily multivitamin.

I agree that the pills are not a good idea when it comes to your hypertension. you really cannot take thewm, it may cause a stroke or heart attack!!
