I almost feel like I'm just going to jinx myself by posting a "Hello! I'm new" post- everytime I have tried to do this on any diet/weightloss forum I end up failing. However, today is a good day for change, and I'm hoping that a simple introduction won't doom my success.
Anyway, I've always been the "stocky" girl growing up. At 5'4 and 160lbs through high school, I was constantly skipping meals and hated to eat in front of people... I didn't want anyone to see me eat- as if they'd automatically think "She can stand to lose a few more pounds... why on earth is she putting more food in her mouth?" When I travelled to China, I managed to drop down to my lowest weight (~150) and I shocked my friends upon arriving back in the states...
Well, a few years out of college I managed to become a shapely 190-something pounds. It's time to shed all those extra burgers!
Plan of attack-
No more junk food (3 weeks w/out and going strong!)
More water! (3 nalgene bottles a day)
Enough sleep!
Exercise! 20 minutes of Turbo Jam in the morning/30 minutes of elliptical in the evening.
And that's pretty much it. I'm not huge into calorie counting, although it's probably something I should look into. I'm just really not that organized for that sort of thing.
Anyway, I hope to make a lot of friends here and to be able to look back on this post 3 months from now and know I made a positive change in life.
