help....

i wrestled today and i was so tired after just rolling around for a second.. I could not even stand it, im good for like 1 sec then im tired. I dont tink its cardio i mean i dont do that much cardio i run once in a while and box, but i lift for strength (1-4 reps and my muscles when wrestling are dead and hurt after a sec... what is wrong?

Not enough complex carbs (or to many simple carbs) in your diet.

Work Capacity

Your work capacity is low. You need to increase your anaerobic conditioning. Make sure that all you are doing is not 1-4 reps. It takes about a second to do 1-4 reps so it makes sense that you are tired after a short amount of time.

A simple way to start is to do exercises for time. In wrestling you have 2 min rounds, boxing 3 min. (in general).

You need to be able to do work for that amount of time.

A good way to start that.

Do your normal 1 - 4 reps. On your last set lower the weight. Lift for 1 min. It does not really matter how many reps you get just don't stop. You will find that you need to lift an extremely light load when you start doing this. That is ok. You will need strength over time, not just in the first few seconds.

Make sure that you do this for every movement. You will notice a big difference in just a few weeks.

Basic aerobic work will help as well. Your body needs to have an aerobic base for any sport.

If this is your first time wrestling (which im guessing its not) then Goerg advise is sound. however from the way i read your post, it sounds like this "lack of energy" is new or all of a sudden. If this is the case and you haven't had this "lack of energy" problem in prior matches and so on then i would still blame your diet.

diet is good i used to have good conditioning when i ran and lifting for size 8-12 reps, now i dont really run and lift for strength. 5 sets of 1-4 reps...

would it cure me if i just ran after every workout?

i always wrestle, not school wrestle, like the real stuff.

Not enough. Do the lifting for time thing.

Changing a workout routine from 8 - 12 reps and running to just doing 1 - 4 reps will cause a "lack of energy."

That is called "not being in good enough shape to play your sport."

Running after workouts will help. There is no cure, only ways to improve more.

Lifting for strength is not just lifting low reps. You need strength across short and long periods of time. Training both will help you gain strength faster then just doing one or the other.

Think - Low reps and heavy in the beginning of a workout when you are fresh. Higher reps later in the workout to increase muscular endurance.
