I'm new to forums and would really appreciate any advice that you could give me for quick weight loss.

My friend is getting married in February and have just been told that my ex will be there with his new girlfriend. I've put on weight since we broke up and can't face seeing him at this size.

I've started my low cal eating plan plus am going to the gym 3 times a week. Any other suggestions?

No I want permanent weight loss but I want it quickly!!!

I'm doing everything I know to do-eating low cal and exercising but the weight isnt coming off as quickly as i'd hoped. I've been told to try some supplements but not sure which one to pick. Has anyone tried any?

You realize fast weight loss isn't the answer to a good physique, right?

Or do you only care about what the scale says and not how you look or feel?

You're about to possibly make yourself sick...all to impress someone you're not with anymore? I think having your mind on this as your reason to drop a few pounds is only going to make it harder.

Sorry to say my friend...a little too late...The best you will be able to do is 5 - 10lbs if any. The more we want to lose weight faster, it seems the harder it is to lose. Our weight gain did not come over night so weight loss will not be an over night thing either.

He's your ex and unless you want him back, why try to impress him? What matters is that you start a program for weight loss for "YOU" and no one else. Whatever you lose by February, you lose and then continue on your program, so that the next time he sees you, (if he truly matters to you) he will actually notice a difference.

I've gone down that road before, wanting to look good for someone else, and I've come to realize that is so wrong.

Good luck with your speedy attempt to lose weight and don't get down on yourself if you don't reach your goal, just keep going.

A little bit of a male's input... I'm with these people. It should be all about you & your health. If that guy is with someone else, then his heart is not in it.

5-10 pounds is probably the best you can do. But, that isn't really enough to notice any significant difference, unless you're thin already.

I would avoid diet pills and diet supplements. They can cause problems.

Best of luck in your weight loss. This is a great place, with some really decent people here.

Best wishes,
George

I promise you all I am doing it for myself not him.
I've been really down about my weight gain and had decided long before I knew he was going to the wedding that I needed to get healthy.

I've now ordered some (safe) weight loss supplements...
LA Muscle, Fat Stripper.

I'll let you know how it goes.

And thanks for all your advice, I really appreciate it x

Just wanted to update you all.......it worked!!!
I've lost 12 pounds!

I'm so happy with the result and still have another 10 days until the wedding so hope to loose even more by then! I treated myself to a new dress and now feel ready to face the ex.

If anyone else is looking to loose weight I highly recommend these:

Thansk for all your support and suggestions xxx
