Hello to you all.

Today i have taken the 1st step in gettin myself well by coming here and hopefully finding support in people who understand what it is like to be unhappy with how they are.
Ive tried various diets ranging from the faddy ones to the proper calorie controled ones, but after a a month or so i get bored and the bad habbits return.
I joined a gym and after 4 months i had lost 9 inches but no weight, which i found disheartening.
I am now very desperate to lose weight as it is affecting my home life and my confidence has all but gone.
Help!

I suggest you read the stickied threads in the nutrition and exercise forums to get you going. A lot of what you are asking is answered more capably than I can state it here.

I highly recommend the 'scale mentality' stickie. It is an excellent read and will give you perspective on your situation.
Understand that the majority of people here believe in a lifestyle change. Fad diets are just that- fad diets. Read up on nutrition and your BMR, find out what you need to do and do it. You sound like you have a great start but need a little knowledge to make everything work.
