Help!

I'm 19, 5"6 and I weigh 140 pounds. I want to lose weight !

My goal is to go down to around 125 pounds.

I know I'm not very overweight, but I really want to look slimmer.

I have a dance performance coming up in November aswell,

so I want to look my best.

Any tips on losing weight on a daily basis?

I don't like to excercise, but still I sometimes go swimming to drop a few pounds!

I try to drink a lot of water, but my weak spots are always the evenings..

After a long day, I'm just famished and eat carbs, like pasta or bread...

The best way to lose weight is through diet and exercise. And exercise is really really important. A lot of us don't like exercise, but its a must. Make sure you're getting enough calories (nothing less than 1200 cal. minimum)

Carbs are not the enemy. Just watch your calories - adding more if need be. And find a cardio exercise that you enjoy.. swimming is great cardio! but you need to do a cardio workout for at least 30 minutes 3 times a week. Good Luck!!

Discovery Health :: Calculators :: Basal Metabolic Rate <- this is a great tool to find your resting metebolic rate. It's the amount of calories you need so sustain normal body functions. If you drop that by no more than 500 calories and add cardio you'll start to see results.
 
clarify something... you have a dance performance coming up... but you don't like to exercise...

Unless your dance performance has you standing still on a stage... you are dancing.. and that .. is exercise...

if you are famished by the end of the day.. what have you been eating during the day.. you burn off a lot more calories simply by moving around during the day than you do in the evening... so you want ot make sure you are getting enough to eat at those hours.. so you aren't starving at night.

what are your usual breakfasts and lunches?
