don't eat junk food, ever
but you're still very young so you want plenty of healthy calories

ooh and drink lots of water

don't want to try any plan?
If you wan't to have good muscle tone, then you're going to have to layout some kind of 'plan'.
But as far as trying to eat less..drink lots of water, eat lots of fiber (whole grain bread/oatmeal ect). Just try to eat more whole foods rather than junkish food.

Watch the sugar. Eat a lot of vegetables (fill up on them, even). Try drinking green/white tea, or lots of water, whenever you get cravings.

It's sometimes a lot easier to make junk food unavailable to you. Sometimes this means not carrying cash iwth you. It also means begging your parents not to bring junk food home (even though they might want it).

Seems that everyone missed one important thing so i'll help the community :) Don't workout everyday. (weights) You need rest. Personally i workout 4 times a week.

I downloaded a pdf file lastnight called Max OT its certainty a good guide to build muscle i'm sure many here have seen it long berfore i did.

Here's the link

Don't take everything has gossip thou. Makes me laugh when someone claims no one knows how to workout other than himself. Bodies are all different there's is no unverisal method to build muscle. But its a very good program.

Are you serious, Rest and Recuperation to avoid overtraining and letting the muscles grow. If you think working out everyday is ok it will be the first time i heard it. I certainty never read it anywhere.

My uncle is a powerlifter and he works out 2 on 3 off rountine. And his son a BB works out 6 days a week MAX.

The only way you could workout everyday is if your using steriods. That's why all these routines in muslce mags are way to big. Someone who wants to be in decent shape could easily achieve that working out 3 to 4 days a week. For more advanced people they could either increase workout duration or days.

You shouldn't have trouble working out daily as long as you give each muscle group time to rest. When I was on my training routine last year I trained daily and made huge gains. There's a reason why the gov't recommends 30 - 45 minutes of activity daily.

I haven't read evidence to support, and this is just me, the idea that you need full body rest in order for your muscles to grow, but rather that you just need to not tax that particular muscle group further for a while.

I do fine working out everyday, depending on my routine at the time. When doing full body workouts I do three a week, when doing isolations I give each group at least a day off before working it again. Gotta keep in mind the secondary muscles too, like don't want to work triceps one day then chest the next as triceps are involved in chest motions.

Well i'm no expert but i would never workout everyday and i don't know anyone that does. Powerlifters don't workout everyday.

Has with the gov't i certainty would take anything they have to say with a huge grain of salt.

I understand isolation movements but you still risk hitting muscles indirectly.

Anyway, its everyone's choice but i think working out everyday is a waste of time. Not only is it difficult to maintain you don't need to workout everyday to grow muscle and strength.

I work out everyday.

Each day I do 30-45 minutes of cardio and stength training one of the following:arms/chest, abs/back and glutes/legs.
