Help With Fat/Muscle?!?!?

I need help with my calves. How come in the morning when I just wake up, my calves look so small and nice? But throughout the day, it seems bigger when I look at it! My calves seem really really really big to me...they're around 13 inches thick. :(
And I'm not sure if my calves are muscle or fat. I read somewhere about how to tell if your calves are muscle or fat. It said to stand on one foot; then on that foot, only stand on the toes. After that, pinch your calf to see if there is any fat. I tried that and there isn't really that much fat so I think it's muscle. But however, when I sit down and move my legs, there is fat jiggling! Does that mean that my calf really does have a lot of fat or does that just mean that it's extra skin? If it is extra skin, how do I get rid of it?

I doubt it's getting "much bigger." I also doubt it's a lot of fat considering you are so tiny. I'd say stop worrying about it in particular and just work it as you would work any other muscle. Eat often and well too.

How old are you?

I'm 13 years old. I want to post a picture up....but I don't know how! Which site would be good to upload pictures for free?

I'd talk with your parents, school counselor, gym teacher, health teacher or another adult you trust. I would tell them about your thoughts. You should be outside playing and having fun. Not worrying about your calves.

Hate to sound like your mother, but at 13 you should not be posting pictures of yourself on the internet. Too many old, hairy, wrinkly, weirdos out there.

If you see a lot of jiggling at your height and weight, you probably just need to tone up your muscles a little. Try getting involved in some school sports (basketball for your calves if they are your major concern):)

and you might want to finish growing before losing anymore weight. I notice you said your goal height is 5'1". To be hosest with you I think I been the same height since I was 13. Girls usually stop getting taller between 13-16 yrs.. Boys are the one that keeps getting taller until 16-19.
My brother was a late bloomer(pubity) and when he did start getting tall he didn't stop til he was 20.

Oh, no...I wasn't going to post a picture of my face up here; I only wanted to post a picture of my calves! =S

But it's only jiggling when i'm sitting down! When I'm standing up, it's really firm and almost no fat!

You mean that I might not grow to that height altogether?

This sounds a lot more like a mental problem than a physical one. Most people who work hard on and worry about their body have all kinds of nutty biasses about themselves and see huge changes day to day that no one else can see. Myself included. Just in case though ...

Stand with some heavy object (dumbell?) and with both feet do as many calf raises as you can (meaning stand on your toes). After that put the weight down and pick up something lighter and repeat. Do this until you have no weight at all and cant do anymore calf raises. It takes about as long as a commercial break for your average half hour TV show to finish this.

Now, maybe you can help me out with something- my little sister is your age and watches Disney Channel all day with that Raven show and Phil of the Future and all that. She says that everyone her age watches it. Is this true? As a thirteen year old do you feel this brand of entertainment is beneath you or just right? It would really help me out.

Thanks anyways
Good luck on your calves.
