You may get more reception and help if you tell us the exercises you want to understand better. I have not read the book, but most exercises are universally named. There are a few "Joe Schmoes" trying to make a name for themselves by naming exercises.... even still someone may have heard of the exercise.

I'm reading the book right now

Hi there,

I've used the book to construct my own program...more or less following his advice to the word, but with some modifications.

for those who haven't read it, it's an invaluable source of information. the exercises aren't strictly named, and rest assured, Laurence Morehouse ain't no "joe Schmoe"!! for one thing, the guy pioneered "heart rate" monitored exercise.

what exercises are you having problems with?

I assume it is the book that defines fitness in three categories. Speed, stamina and explosive fitness. He trained the NASA moon astronauts. There are three exercises and do make sure you get you MD's approval. If you do it properly it will really work your gut. This is no joe schmoe and definitely not to toy with. He was the first I know of to define pain as an alarm system. Do not exercise with pain.

You do three types of exercise three times a week, each for ten minutes only! Do not overdo it. Follow the regimen closely at first until you understand the effects on your body. You can adapt it later.

Read the book properly and follow it correctly. Also make sure that you understand the dietary principles well. In his research he found that losing more than one pound in weight per week is a starvation diet. That means all the supplement aided "programmes" to lose weight, say twenty pounds in two weeks, are dangerous.

His "weight loss diet" is more of a change in lifestyle decision. I read this book thirty years ago and am presently busy losing a tummy pad with ease. No "discipline" or weighing, just watching what i eat daily.
