Hello all,

My names Desmond and I am an 18 year old male. I would appreciate for any help anybody can give me to help me lose weight and become a little bit fitter. I am about 6'1" and weigh about 100 Kg (220 lbs)and looking to drop about 10 KG in fat ut don't mind exchanging that into muscle. I am not obese, I have a large frame and actually do have really thick bones, but i do have a little bit of stomach fat which annoys me.

I am not looking to lose a lot of weight but just down to a size that I'm comfortable with.

I would appreciate if anyone could give me like a little program of like running, weights, exercise etc... just to get me started and fit for next years rugby season and comfortable with my body.

Also diet plans would help as I am a bad eater and don't really know what's good and what's not.

I've looked around the internet to try and find plans or programs and what not but they all seem to be for overly obese people or people that are in a hurry to lose weight.

I'm not trying to look like a body builder. LOL

Any help what so ever would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

No you don't want to be interested. This is someone banned because her goal was to make money off you. Anyone here that suggests you talk to them about Shakeology is a salesperson for that company. You buy from them so they make money. They don't give a rat's ass if you lose weight. It's better for them if you don't cause that means more money.

I would tell you first off as a make you are at a great advantage over us girls. The simple fact that men can build muscle faster makes it easier to raise your resting metabolic rate. Take note and beware however, that same capability can and will help you get fatter on an exercise program because you naturally will become more hungry.

With that said - you best bet is a full body strength training program combined with a sensible diet. I am in love with functional movements that involve the entire body - pull-ups, deadlifts, squats, dips combined with some dynamic movements like box jumps and some kettlebell work (front swings to end your work out). Hit the weight plan 2-3 times per week, working up to relatively heavy weight with relatively low reps. (pay attention to form and work into this slowly if you are new to the movements)

I am not a big fan of long aerobic activity done several times a week. This actually makes you hungry and teaches your body to store energy for your next big event. Stick to a couple of sessions of sprinting on your off days from the weights, walk more and go for a jog on the weekends.

For a sensible diet there are numerous options but the most simple method is to cut out refined sugar from your diet and drink more water and eat more vegetables and less starches. This one change can have enormous benefits to almost anyone over time.

Good Luck with your weight loss efforts, just work at it slow and steady and avoid any hype related to a one shot easy solution.

I say exercise daily (aerobic and circuit training plus yoga/stretching twice a week) and get on a low-calorie diet plan. Some ideas are oatmeal, fruits, celery and peanut butter, yoplait lite yogurt, salads, etc. Watch what you drink on the weekends, too. Good luck!

Shakeology offers more than a product for weight loss. It offers a fitness program. Although i am not in Shakeology, I find that the workouts are way too intense for the average time constraint person. And for those who are hardcore into nutrition and serious exercise...go for it. There are many products out there beyond Shakeology that offer nutrition. Shoot someone could recommend any ole product and make money off you --- most stuff is sold on Amazon and if they were smart could recommend anything and send you to an affiliate link. So, to say some people are out just to make money off you based on one product isn't true, then again, yes there are.

The most solid way to lose weight is watch what you eat. PERIOD. Increase your activity. Take a good time release multivitamin.

I love following the Zone diet...which you can get at any library or find recipes online and join free communities. I like the 40:30:30.

I've been on many diets. Including prescription. It depends on your own individual goals, time constraints, lifestyle, and what you are seeking to get out of it, quick fix, lifelong sustained weight loss, nutrition or healthy eating lifestyle.

The best results I found was from walking and following a diet similar to the Zone and Zone recipes.

Good luck to you...where there is a will there is a way...you just have to hold yourself accountable enough to follow through and reach your goals.

I wrote up a little story about my own personal experience with Strip That Fat, it teaches you to stay away from empty calories and eat foods that are loaded with nutrients. It does this by teaching you to listen to what your body really wants and needs. If you have bad eating habits it may be due to many factors but for me it was that I was eating foods that didn't offer my body any real fuel so I kept having cravings and eating more, I don't have cravings anymore, in fact I can't even eat much anymore.

Anyway it is working for me I am down to 240 from 320 so you may want to have a look at it or whatever if it sounds any good.

Of course what everyone is saying is right, working out needs to be a part of your daily life, that's just a no brainer.
