Help please!!!!

I really need to start working my stomach, but i have a really hard time doing crunches because of my back. I have even tried to do them on my exercise ball but that doesn't seem to help much. I was hoping that someone might be able to help me by telling me a different way to work my stomach muscles with out hurting my back.
