Ok, Hi.
I am 13, about 5'4" or 5'5" and 133-135 pounds.
My grade 8 grad is in about 4 months.
I would like to get nice and fit for it.

So a couple days ago I started a workout and did it for 3 days and then said stuff like 'my legs hurt' and making excuses.

So, if anybody could make me an aerobic exercise plan that would be greatly appreciated, I have a treadmill and I can run a 6:30 mile.
Or 2.5k in 10:30.

Oh, and I need help on how to stay motivated.

And maybe how to resist the temptation to eat, and maybe a good diet for my age group?

Oh and I play basketball, I have practice 3 times a week and 2 games twice a week so that would help me also lose weight, I have very good cardio, but would have even better if I lost weight.

Please help. :D

I would like to be around 105-110. I think that would be a good weight for me.
And my treadmill goes in miles.
0-10.

I need help making a workout plan aerobically.

You're asking people to do something that they can't do - which is give you motivation. You have to decide you want to do this and do it. That's really the honest answer.

Sure, when you start exercising you're going to be sore. Only you can decide not to use that as an excuse.

Eating healthily is important as well ... learning what foods are good for you and how much of them to eat, is important. I'd start by reading the sticky posts in the various forums for more information. There's good info on nutrition and exercise in those posts.

Thank you Kara.
I will check the other forums, but I would like to not over exercise because I would still like to grow :p

I guess I'm just gonna press the 'weight loss' button on my treadmill and do that for 5 days a week, and try to cut on food.

did you read the stickies? :)

Making healthy food choices are important - especially at your age. You need to make sure that you eat enough healthy foods: lots of veggies and fruits, lean proteins, whole grains, low-fat or fat-free dairy, and so forth.

Combining that with a reasonable amount of exercise - say 30-60 mins a day of brisk walking/running that gets your heart rate going - will help you to build a healthy body.

you should write down everything you eat in a day and not leave anything at all out. Especially that one candy bar or that coke you have after school or what ever. Anything that goes into your mouth you should write down. And how much of each thing you eat. From there someone can figure out how many calories you are eating a day.

If you are playing basket ball and all that so much, that should be a pretty good amount of cardio there, so a lot of additional cardio should not really be all that necessary unless you are eating too many calories and are not planning to cut back.

as far as motivation goes, there are tons of suggestions out there for that. There are several compiled to give you an idea of some options there.

5 pounds a month is not that difficult a goal to maintain for only 4 months. I think you will be able to reach your goals with out any problems as long as you commit to it. Just be very careful about your nutrition. You are still growing, so it is mandatory that you eat food that is good for you nutritionally especially if you are cutting back calories. That will leave less food to eat to get your nutrition from every day. If your body is not getting proper nutrition, it is not going to allow you to lose the weight efficiently.

it's good to be interested in getting fit and healthy, but at your height 5'5", 105 to 110lbs is clinically underweight and not at all healthy for a growing teenager. Your body needs a healthy, varied and interesting diet - lots of differently coloured foods (veggies of as many colours as you can manage!) means you are getting a wide range of minerals and vitamins. Exercise by all means but think carefully before you start on a diet. You are a healthy weight for your height and once you are fit you will feel fantastic and look amazing at the size you are!! best of luck
