Help me eat something!

As you all know I had to lose weight a while back and did so successfully. However, with my move i lost a little more..and although I know the holdiays are coming and I'll for sure gain then, I find that right now i'm a little tired and empty most of the time.

I think I have to add something, but I'm not sure what.

I take my thyroid medication when I wake up, about 7 AM, but can't eat for at least 30 minutes after that. And for sure I'm not supposed to have any iron or calicum for 2-3 hours. So that leaves out a lot of stuff.

I exercise and go to work aobut 8:30/8:45. I get to work by 9:30 and i'm STARVING !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I make the coffee - no one else does and a timer didn't work for us - and down my yogurt.

At noon almost exactly and without fail, I eat my biggie salad with a protein - usually spinach, red peppper, romaine, and grated carrot with a rasp vinigarette low fat dressing. The protein is usually a piece of low fat cheese and a hard boiled egg.

Snack is fruit: apples or kiwi.......I eat a regular dinner, just small; some sort of protein, carb, and cooked or raw veggies combo.

I adore cake and candies but know i shouldn't start with that again...what do you all think i hsould have more of - w.w. pita with breakfast or lunch? I cut out carbs to get and keep the weight off, but I just don't feel good/full..........

Thanks!

To help out, I thought I would give you some background information about my cousin.

For years, she ate fairly fattening foods, such as the ones you mentioned, and was slightly overweight. She decided she was going to cut out a lot of things in her diet and get rid of sugar all together. She lost the weight, but like you, craved that extra little flavor/weight in her stomach. Her willpower lasted for a few months but then she had to cave in. Some people just aren't designed to give up sweet foods. That's okay, but you will have to work harder. Try eating sweet things made with splenda that are low calorie (Lord knows there are 100's of products that fit that description). The point is, the candy bar/cookie/whatever won't be GREAT for you, but it's certaintly better than the alternative, and if you can't live a happy life, then your looks are secondary.

Basically, try eating some artificially sweetened snacks during your peak times of the day, but work a little more at the gym on cardio to shake those extra calories off. You can't deprive yourself from your instinctual needs forever ;)

Good luck, and I hope you can pass up this hump.
