Hello :)

Hi, I'm new to the board.
I just joined my local gym after dabbling in all sorts of exercise over the years. I decided now was the time to do it.

I'm having trouble getting much info about how often I should be going and what classes I should be doing. I know it depends on what my goals are but I'm hoping to learn quite a bit in here to help me on my way :)

I'm going to go and search the forums now and see if I can find what I'm looking for.

Welcome Ella. A combination of cardio and weights is generally considered the best way to get in shape, lose fat and get stronger. And, if you are female, don't worry about getting muscular, it won't happen. For a beginner, 3x / week is a good starting point that will provide a lot of benefits. You don't need a rest day between cardio events, but you do between weight training events.
