Hello

Hi all,

My name is Kirk I am 19 years old and looking to get back into the gym. I recently went afew months back but stopped when my work hours changed.

I don't have much knowledge on fitness or weightlifting, but my work hours are 18:00 - 4:00 however my gym doesn't open till 7:00 if I stay up after work then goto the gym as it opens at 7:00 would it be bad for me to go sleep straight after the gym or would you not reccomend that?

I am just trying to work out my sleep pattern wether I have work straight after my sleep or at the end of the day.

Regards,

Kirk.

It's ok to go to sleep right afterwards, but you should get some food.
It might be better to stay up for a while after training in order to get more meals in around the work out time, but you gotta do what you gotta do. You could train right before work, then sleep right after work, but it's really up to you. What do you think would give you the best day? That's the question you should ask.

Welcome to the forum.
Regarding the timing of your training, are you tired after work? If you are then I'd just go to sleep then and train before work instead. That's just my preference though, I think you get more out of training when your enthusiasm is high and it won't be if you're tired
