Hi everyone.
My name is Brian. I am 37 and live in the Chicagoland area.
I guess I am starting over. In 2008 I decided I did not like what I looked at in the mirror every day and decided to do something about it. I quit my 2-3 pack a day cigarrette habit and started exercising and eating right- well better anyway- and lost around 50 lbs.
It is almost 4 years to the day that I started this and I have come all the way back- wieght wise, I still dont smoke. I am frustrated at what i have become and need to start over. Today is my 'official start date'- 12/27/11.
When I lost the weight the first time I had the support of a lot of good people on a forum and I hope that I get that here.
At my peak wieght loss and fitness level I ran a 10K in 50 min and a half marathon in 2:30. I want to hit these fitness levels again.
I am currently 260 lbs at 6'4" tall.
My goal is to get to 225 and then figure out from there.
I plan on doing this with a combination of eating right/less and a combo of strength training, focusing on big movmement/compound lifts, and cardio- starting with ellipt and progressing to running again.
I also hope to get into a basketball league again.
So anyway- long intro.
