Hi everyone! I've been struggling with my weight for the last 15 years. About 6 years ago my family and I went on the South Beach diet together and I ended up losing about 35 pounds (started at 175) and was 25 pounds away from my goal weight. Then there was a lot of stress at work and at home and I developed an irrational hatred of salads while my mother decided she hated all cooked veggies (made planning meals interesting)

Long story short I gained back all the weight and THEN SOME. I am now 198 after steadily creeping up over the summer. This week I got out all my winter clothing and discovered that I don't fit any of it. So I got depressed and cried, moped for a day and now I am determined that I need to change.

What doesn't really help is that most of my job involves food and I love talking about it! Right now my bakery department is without a manager so I spend A LOT of time there...around the cakes...and cookies...and fresh baked bread...you get the idea! I also developed the reputation of being a very good baker with my coworkers and they are always asking "When are you gonna bring pie again? I missed the last one!"

So today is a new day and I look forward to reading some of your stories and learning all I can!

Its great that you've came here for help, I personally had the same issues and the only thing that made me stick at a diet was

(1) Seeing results FAST!

(2) The diet had to be sustainable so I could eat the junk food I wanted. (for me my cravings are cakes and cereals)

The best diet I have found for that is my own version of the slow carb diet. The results come in super fast, after the first day you notice results and more importantly its sustainable. You can eat junk at the right time (thats the key) and you don't have to starve yourself.

So far I've lost 17LB, 3.6% body fat and more importantly 8 3/4" in 30 days! The crazy thing is other people that i help lose the weight faster than what I did (mainly because I didn't have loads of fat to lose compared to them)

Look forward to speaking soon
