Hey gang. Just a little about myself. I am 29yrs old and at my heaviest I weighed 398lbs. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and did very little physical activities after I came home from work and on the weekends. I got down to 352lbs after not having insurance and basically no medication to treat my diabetes, a very unhealthy way to lose weight. So 33 days ago I finally got insurance back and went to see a highly recommended doctor in my area. The doctor basically told me I was a ticking time bomb and wouldn't have to worry about seeing any retirement if I didn't change my ways. Since that date I scheduled an appointment with a local dietitian to find out what I needed to be doing. I have been tracking my calorie intake daily and also started exercising. I also started a blog [Link Looks Spammy - Removed] to document my change. As of day 28 I was down from 352lbs to 335lbs. I have found that the blog helps a lot and the comments are very inspiring. Thats me! Thanks for reading!

I don't think you are allowed to direct traffic to your blog on this site. Instead they prefer we use their diary section. For my part, i am too lazy to visit blogs.

Its great you have got good advice and seem to be willing to take it and do something about your health problems. You are very young to have got this diabetes i think. I keep trying to tell some of the other younger overweight people here that their health should be a motivating factor to lose weight but i don't think most people can really take it on until its somewhat too late.

I wish you all the best with your journey.

Hi Exra, we're glad you are keen to loose weight etc, but posting a site like that in your first post looks a lot like you are spamming so for now I have removed that.
Feel free to link to that later on once you are a regular here perhaps, so long as the website is not selling anything or similar (pays to read the T&C)
