Hello all... My name is Debbie and I am 35 years old and married with 2 children. I am 5 feet 4 inches tall and before having my kiddos I weighted in at about 120 lbs. After 2 kids I was still not doing to badly at around 130 lbs. And then came a hysterectomy 5 years ago and I am now at 190 lbs.

I have never been real concerned about my weight and my husband and loved me regardless of my weight, but after watching both of my parents go through some serious health issues it has made me more aware of my own health and I realize that I need to get started on making some lifestyle changes to improve my own health.

I have never been on a diet in my life, so this is completely new to me. My husband is being very supportive of me and said that he is right with me and will make the changes also, so I hope that by the two of us working together we will succeed.

I look forward to getting to know everyone.
 
welcome to the group Debbie. You are going to find a lot of resources, some passionate opinions (sometimes too passionate...guilty!), and most of all you got support.

I suggest going to the Diary section and starting one up. Most of our members do their support through replies on your diary. It's great and it's a way to look back at the good you have done later. I'm glad to hear that your husband is by your side on this. It's really the best way to go.

one thing...don't think of it like a diet. These are changes you want to keep the rest of your life :)
