I just wanted to say Hi and find out where to start and get help. I am 6ft and 225lbs, looking to loose some weight and get into better shape.
My wife is 5ft 4 and is 140 lbs. having 3 kids have taken time away from ourself which is fine but we want to get in alot better shape but are lost on where to start? Getting the kids involved would be great to, We would like to eat better as well.

Good to see that you have a fitness buddy in your wife so you can both motivate each other. Also, I like your plan of getting the kids involved, too. One of the things that helped me lose weight was doing more physical activity with my children.

I am 5' 11" and started getting serious about fitness at 223 pounds...so pretty close to your stats. I dropped 24 pounds in 4 months simply by walking, cutting out sugar soft drinks and decreasing my portion sizes just a little. Its the little things that add up.
 
my advice is just get in here and start looking around!!! you will find aTON of good info! Also, i am 5'2"... almost 5'3".... feel free to have your wife check out my journal...i was 153 when i first came on here and have lost 31 pounds.... this site rocks!!!!!!
