Hello,
My name is Brandie. I am a mother to three wonderful children. I have come from a family who ate larger then neccesary portions. Like many, I was very small until my first child. I could eat anything and not gain a pound. Since my first child, I have gone from 92LBs to 178LBS. I have began to have many health problems associated with weight gain and poor diet. Part of my problem is knowing what foods to eat and how much of those foods. I have many food allergies which limit my diet and limit my so called healthy meal choices. I have allergies to many vegitables and many grains. My worst allergies are to nuts, peas, beans, and soy products. I am ignorant when it comes to nutrition and do not want to follow my family into a life with diabetes, heart problems, and high blood pressure. I am joining the military but have to lose 35LBs before October in order to do so. I am hoping that this forum will help me stay motivated and educate me in other food alternatives and ways of whatching the bottom line.

Welcome

First of all welcome to the forum!

You should find plenty of tips and advice here and all the motivation you can handle. It's wonderful that you want to make a change and you seem to have even more adverse conditions than most people working toward a healthy weight. I personally cannot be of much service in this department due to a very limited number of allergies, but encouragement doesn't require experience!

Best of luck on your journey and enjoy your stay!
