I suffered a back injury last month and this is not helping matters but i am here to turn my life and weight around.
There is alot of great info on here to help me so i will continue to read and i am starting to get some plans together.
Thanks for having me and sharing your stories and advise.

Welcome, Rick!
It sounds like you are committed to losing the weight this time...good for you! I think you will find as you lose some weight, that the anxiety and depression will ease up some...if not totally go away! Have you set some goals for yourself? How much are you wanting to lose?

Good luck...looking forward to reading about your progress!

Welcome to the forum.

I am sure that your back will feel tons better as the weight comes off.

While you are waiting for the doctor to give the go-ahead for exercise - you should be able to go out walking. I found that walking was very beneficial for my weight loss. When I was big I used to walk pretty slowly too (but that speeded up as I got fitter - and indeed I walked further). I had heard that walking had to be done briskly to be of any benefit - but I couldnt do anything briskly and it was of tremendous benefit to me. Naturally I expanded things to include other types of exercise - but my first step in exercise was walking.

Good luck for your project.
