Hi,
I'm 26 years old, and I've been fat as long as I can remember. I'm trying to become "not so fat". My weight holds me back, so I'm working to improve my life by loosing some. This appears to be an active board, I'm glad it's here!
Thanks,
Birdiegene

hello^^

the forum is very nice. hmm do you have any specific goals in mind atm? a way to reach this goal? =P

best of luck and welcome.

Like Angelica said, having goals and a way to accomplish them is key. You're not going to go on a trip to Orlando without a map and a plan, right? Any questions, let me know. I'm on the same path as you and can help you plan some of your successes.

Yes, I have a goal of 240 lbs by July 09. I'm using a treadmill, right now I'm doing 30 min daily, for the past 5 days, eating oatmeal for breakfast daily and trying mightily to cut out the binging. Down 4 lbs from 309 since I started a 5 days ago, so something is going right. I have dr.s appointments at 6 week intervals for a non-weight related condition, to stay on the medication I currently take I cannot gain weight or I'll have to switch, and I donwana! So that's the mini goal interval. I'm hoping to be down to an even 3 bills in 9 days. 5 lbs isn't so hard to loose in 9 days when you're my size, it's doable. Today I'm going to increase to two sessions on the treadmill, I'm really loving how my body is feeling with the exercise. Thanks for the support guys :)

To help with the binging, why not throw in a small treat every three days or so? Note that this requires a lot of will power... but have like a third of a chocolate bar, or a very small portion of whatever it is that you like. This will kill the cravings and keep you from wanting those binge attacks.
