So, I have been mentally preparing myself to change my habits. Now I just need to change them. I was just looking at some "thinspiration" message board and those people are idiots. I figure I shouldn't get advice from people with mental issues. I got issues of my own.
About Me: I graduated from high school in 2003 weighing 150 lbs (i'm 5'9") and now in 2008 I am at 220 lbs. 30 lbs of that has been since I met my boyfriend 2 years ago that lives on fast food. It's not his fault, but he hasn't made it easy for me to lose weight. I can't stand my reflection. I hate being in photos. I'm horribly depressed, and slowly I'm becoming more and more homebound. I used to have a very active social life, and now I'm so terrified of running into people who I haven't seen in a while because I don't want people to know I gained this much weight. And yes, I'm in the process for finding a good counselor of some type. I have made an appointment.
I have a lot of anxiety about going to gyms to work out. I see those commercials for Bally's with perfectly tanned women wearing sports bras to flaunt their six packs, and needless to say I get a little intimidated.
Anyway, I'm here to give and get support. I am trying to "think like a thin person" per my book I've been reading on and off (The Beck Diet Solution).
Thanks for reading this.
