Hello everyone. I just came to the forum for the first time today after looking in the mirror the other day and getting sick to my stomach. Up until just a few years ago I was extremely active and in great shape and I am looking to get back to that way, but actually do it by exercising AND eating healthy this time. I have been reading a lot of posts for the past few hours, reading about mostly diets and recipes. I ran track all throughout highschool so I know about about exercises and running to get in shape, just don't know anything about healthy eating. I just started a couple of days ago the "subway diet" but figure it would be more fun to actually make food myself, and probably save money as well. I look forward to reading all of your comments and hopefully helping out others as well when it comes to topics I know about.

welcome to the site...

the big problem w ith teh subway diet, is the amount of sodium in processed foods plus lack of variety - you're better off making your own food and keeping track of calories.

I agree with Mal ... :iagree:
Making your own food, will actually be better than buying at Subway. Making your own food is less fattening, depending on what you make...

best wishes hun

always

I tend to eat a little too much Subway myself but I tend to keep my fat down during the day and my calories within my diet limit along with some exercise per week (run 3-4 times a week and some minor lifting 1-2 days).

When I do go to Subway, I eat Wheat, Roasted Chicken, Lettuce/Tomato...and nothing else....no mayo, nothing...

I am sure I may not be doing the "right" thing nor the healthiest but it works so far (hopefully in the future too :))
