Hey and welcome. Your goal is reaaaalllly going to take a lot of work, and don't make yourself unhealthy in the process. To lose 50 in four months, you would need to lose over 3 pounds a week. It depends a lot on your body, but I know that I work out and eat healthy and sometimes still don't see a change. Just make sure you go about it in a healthy way. What is it that is in four months that you are trying to lose the weight for?
You'll find this site is wonderful for motivation. Try starting a dairy, and getting a food and exercise plan set up so that you have something to follow!
I already use a food diary. I realize that 50lbs in 4 months is a lot, I am willing to modify my weight loss and time frame goal based on past performance. I plan to increase cardio by 30 min at least twice a week. Hopefully, this will be just the "surprise" my body needs so that I can lose more "fat" not necessarily "weight" per week. My arms have about an inch and a half of what I call flab. I could stand to lose 2 inches around my waist. Additionally, I could stand to lose 2 inches in the thigh areas.
In response to your question: I do not have anything big planned for the next few months. I just thought that would be a good time frame in which I could meet the the 50 lb goal. 25lbs in 4 months would be acceptable though.
In my eyes and the eyes of others, I am not fat. Although, my family, (on both sides (mom and dad)) is full of big-boned people.
I just think that it is time for me to work towards getting the weight off b/4 any more of it creeps on.
Another motivator for me to lose the weight is that I do not want to acquire any health conditions that some members of my family have due to their weight.
I have always been a pretty healthy eater in comparison to friends and family. But, with each year, it seems that my metabolism seemed to get slower and slower, thus the weight gain.
The bottom line: I am just trying to be proactive.
I walked on my manual treadmill for 33 mins this morning. Believe me, it was a WORKOUT due to the approximately 3 inch incline on it that does not adjust. The incline does not bother me b/c I know that it is benefiting me.
Also, I have a Cardio Cruiser from Body by Jake that I use for about 30-40 minutes 3-4 times a week.
Thanks for the response. I will be checking back soon. Stay encouraged!
