hi all

i just thought id introduce myself
im 23 and have been trying for 6 months to lose weight
i have lost 4 stone and as per my name i am desperate to be a size 12 lol

thou people dont seem to be very enthusiastic when i say this as im 5ft 9 and they say im fine as i am but im not happy in myself

but im really finding it hard to keep going as im feeling a bit down and find it harder and harder not to go back to my old habits of over eating and using food as a comfort

i try to keep to 1500 calories a day and i walk for 30 - 45 mins per day every day

ive always been bigger than average and at my biggest i was a size 22 but now im a size 16 and half way there but im def lagging so any advice would be much appreciated

and does anyone else find that only losing 2lb a week is soooooooooo disheartening no matter how much exercise is done in a week

2lbs a week is a healthy amount to lose if you expect it to stay off forever...

do spend sometime reading the stickied threads in the forum, you'll probably get some valualbe information on ways to improve your nutrition and workouts to get the most out of them.

Keep up the good work!, you have come a long way. Keep reminding yourself of how much you have lost and how good that feels and how much better you'll feel when you reach your target size!

I was a size 26, currently size 12 and would like to eventually fit into a pair of size 10 jeans!
Keep doing what your doing, it's obviously working for you!

Well done on your weight loss so far.

Have you set up a diary yet? They are really useful because that is how we encourage and motivate each other. People will not encourage you if they do not know where to find you.

You can look in other people's diaries and see what they are doing - it might give you some ideas to help with the next couple of clothes sizes.
