Hi, I am a 39 year old that is in desperate need of decipline!!
I am 5'3" and now 196 lbs. I am having health issues and I am tired of being self conscious all the time.
I am horrible at watching calories or fat content. I am really good at sticking to an already made menu though. Does anyone know where I can get a good one? I'm looking for one that will give you the menu complete or one that gives you a list of each food and you pick a meat a fruit etc for each meal.

PLEASE HELP!!!

TIA:seeya:

You have to find the willpower to do this on your own. Looking for someone to coddle you isn't going to lead to long term results. Their coddling and/or that one meal plan isn't going to last forever. You need to find ways to incorporate healthy habits naturally into each and every day.

To add, there isn't a meal plan that's right for everyone.

I'm sure you know what's healthy and what's not. Stick to the healthy stuff and rid your diet of the crap... you'll get a lot of mileage out of this.

Proteins: chicken breast, turkey breast, pork tenderloin, lean ground beef, fish, eggs, low/no fat dairy, whey protein, cottage cheese, flank and top round steak, etc, etc.

Fats: fish, fish oil pills, extra virgin olive oil, natural peanut butter, nuts, avocados, flax, etc, etc.

Carbs: fruits, veggies, whole wheat bread, yams, rice, oats, etc, etc

These are by no means complete lists.

And how much you need to eat of each is entirely dependent on your goals, your current status, your lifestyle, your exercise, etc, etc.

But depending on how you're eating now, simply replacing the bad stuff with some of this stuff will go a long way, as I said above. Most of this stuff is less calorically dense and tends to be a bit more satiating than what most Americans are eating.

Excuse me. I thought this was a place for help. Obviously I was wrong. I don't need coddleing. All I asked for was a freaking menu to get me started. Thanks.

Can I ask why you want someone to tell you exactly what to eat instead of picking your own foods from heathy choices?
