Hello all. I'm Nathan and I was roaming the old internet and decided, stop looking at silly stuff, and try to find a good place to read and talk to others about weight and weight loss. Well i made my descision to start losing weight at the end of August when i joined up to a gym. I always loved lifting weights and the like , but i was always geared towards football and getting big. Now after being away from football, 6 years later and a culinary degree later i found myself at 410 pounds. I worked out real hard and i'm now down to 365 pounds. Which is not quite where i wanted to be but its a start :( i suppose (the holidays kinda screwed with my whole schedule). Its been quite a challenge for me because i'm a chef and always around food. I just found the site tonight and wanted to see and learn from others because i still have a long way to go. Anyway .. as always i've talked to much, so if anyone wants to talk about things or has any decent tips hit me up and have a great day!
Later, Nathan

Thanks :). Well i work out 5 times a week. Monday , Wednesday, Friday i do weight lifting and cardio. On Saturday and Sunday i do just cardio. My lifting is different each of the three days, and I lift lighter weights but with more reps. (Exe. On Wednesday i do Machine Squats, i do 55 pounds on each side. Then i do it 15 times and go straight into lunges where i do 15 on each leg. Rest no more than 30 seconds and do it again). I follow up every resistance day with cardio no matter how tired i am from lifting. My cardio is the same everyday, i go straight to the eleptical *spelling* machine I have a pattern i guess you would say to what i do on there. I start out going at a slow pace whatever is comfortable ( as i first started it was quite slow but now i'm amazed at how quick i can go and not get tired) for three minutes. Then at the end of the three minutes i go as fast as i can for 1 minute. Go for another minute slow as slow as i need to try to recover some. Then I sprint agian for a minute, just go slow agian for a minute, sprint for a minute, just go slow for a minute. I sprint for another minute. You should be somewhere aound 10 minutes on the timer and now you go at a slow pace for 3 minutes and repeat what you just did. Its kinda tough to explain but it works great for me. I started out slow and now i'm having to kick up the resistance on the machine. On Lifting days .. my cardio takes me about 23 minutes. On cardio days i double it and it takes 46 minutes, but with the way you run you lose as many calories i think in htat 23 minutes as you would in a 45 minute session. Anyway thats a bit of what i do i can get into more details if any are interested. Time to go cook !
Goodluck today, I'll be back after the gym tonight at liek 11:30
Nathan
